Our Commitment to Privacy
PDRI follows the policy described below with regard to protecting your privacy and will adhere to these provisions. Visiting the PerformanceFIT web site, or using any of our services, constitutes your acceptance of this policy.
Information That We Collect
This section of our privacy policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the PerformanceFIT web site. On certain pages, you have the ability to order products, make requests, and register to receive various materials. The types of personal information collected on these pages vary. For example, we require first name, last name, and e-mail address in order to identify unique members in our system. We also require billing and/or shipping address as well as credit/debit card information in order to process an online transaction such as the purchase of a test, certificate, trial, or subscription. Additionally, we collect optional information, such as job category, job function, and primary industry in order to enable users to compare their test results against others with similar information. Furthermore, on certain pages, you can submit basic information about other individuals. For example, if you want to send a link to a friend about our services, you will need to submit the recipient's e-mail address. We also store certain types of information when you interact with us on our web site. For instance, we use "cookies" and can obtain certain information from your web browser. By transferring these alphanumeric identifiers to your computer's hard drive, we are able to recognize you during future visits to our web site, so that you can benefit from such features like the Auto Logon feature. You can disable your computer from accepting new cookies if you choose, but then you will be unable to take full advantage of some of our web site features. We also automatically track certain information about you based upon your behavior on our web site. We use this information to do internal research on your interests and behavior and help us better understand and serve you, our PerformanceFIT customers. This information may include click stream data, such as the URL that you just came from, which URL you go to next, what browser you are using, and your IP address.

Individual Account Holders Established Through PerformanceFIT:
As a part of the service PDRI provides to you, we will communicate via e-mail, direct mail, and other means to inform you of enhancements or changes in offerings, services, or other relevant information targeted to your interests. These communications may include third-party marketing messages, but your personally identifying information will not be provided to such parties as we are communicating with you directly. We expect to make several mailings throughout the year to let you know about new certification categories, enhancements to the site, new features, service changes, or to tell you when your subscription is about to expire. We may also occasionally send e-mails to alert you to special "member-only" promotions on our site. If you do not wish to receive these special offers, you may opt-out at any time. The information you provide may be used by PDRI to target more relevant and specific messages to you. These electronic messages may include promotional offers from third parties and advertising sponsors. (Please note that this does not refer to the banner ads on our web site.) In doing so, we are providing you with information on behalf of other businesses, but do not make your personally identifying information available to such third parties. If you do not want to receive such offers, you may opt-out at your convenience by responding directly to the mailing. This is important due to the fact that PDRI uses a third party to deliver these types of messages. You may have opted-in to receive one or more of our newsletters (BenchPress, Test Alert, Question of the Week). If you do not wish to receive one of more of these newsletters, you may opt-out at any time. We share customer information only with the subsidiaries PDRI controls and as described below. PDRI will allow its contracted agents to send information to you via e-mail on behalf of third parties, if you opt-in. In doing so, PDRI and its agents will never make personally identifying information available to such marketers. You can change your mind and opt-out of this service at any time. This is important due to the fact that PDRI uses a third party to deliver these types of messages. PDRI will allow third parties to send you direct mail through the postal mail service. We may contract with other agents to perform these functions on our behalf. The agents will have access to personally identifying information to perform their direct marketing purposes, but may not use it for other functions. In doing so, PDRI and its agents will not make personally identifying information available to the third-party marketers. Please note that when we use these agents to fulfill marketing services, they will be contracted to strictly adhere to PDRI's privacy policy. You may opt-out of this service at any time by contacting our Customer Support department. The e-mail offers and newsletters as well as any advertising contained in those e-mails sent to you by this site or our marketing partners are provided through a third-party service.
Individual Account Holders Established Through a Distributor, Affiliate:
Under some distributor agreements, PDRI provides some or all of your personally identifying information about you to the distributor. If you register for a PerformanceFIT individual account through a third-party, this may apply to you. For example, some staffing firms allow you to register with PDRI and use our services on their web site. When this occurs, they can electronically receive test results and personally identifying information about you from your PerformanceFIT account. Under these circumstances, we make no claims for the protection of your information, as it is governed under the distributor's privacy policy.
Individual Account Holders Established Through the PerformanceFIT Corporate Account:
You will be able to mark parts or all of your online transcript visible in a public form of your "public transcript", which you alone control. You can allow others to view your public transcript by providing them your public transcript ID number. You can mark any part of your public transcript private at any time. You are advised that while PDRI will protect your privacy in accordance with this policy, corporate customers who administer assessments through PerformanceFIT will receive your test results. PDRI cannot protect that information once it is obtained by that company and makes no claims for the protection of your information under these circumstances. If you are a PerformanceFIT user, you will need to check with your company's privacy policy to understand how they use and protect your information. PDRI will not use personally identifying information, or company-related information for any purpose other than to service your account and your employer's account. PDRI will use your test results and demographic information for aggregate analysis, reporting, and other purposes. In doing so, PDRI will not identify you or your company. Notwithstanding other terms in this policy, PDRI will not make your information available to third parties. We will not promote third-party products and services to you as a PerformanceFIT user. You will have the opportunity to initiate a direct relationship with PDRI, for PDRI offerings, and you will be subject to the policy and terms of use that apply to those offerings.
Corporate Accounts:
PDRI will occasionally access and utilize non-personally identifying information for the purposes of servicing your account and to improve upon our offerings, such as completion of validation studies. We will aggregate any non-identifying accounts and non-personally identifying test-taker information for whatever purposes PDRI chooses. Your contract may specify different privacy terms, and in case of conflict, the contract will supersede this privacy policy. Test-takers (individuals who are asked to take tests by PerformanceFIT corporate account holders) are advised that while PDRI will protect your privacy in accordance with this policy, corporate customers who authorize a PerformanceFIT test (to a potential new hire or employee) will receive the test results and the test-taker's personally identifying information. PDRI cannot protect that information once it is obtained by that company and makes no claims for the protection of your information under these circumstances. In this instance, you as the test-taker will need to check the authorizing company's privacy policy to understand how they use and protect your information.
